Materials
espa's play equipment is essentially based on eight different materials.
These are easy to care for, almost indestructible and – most importantly – recyclable!
powder-coated aluminum
Aluminum is a corrosion-resistant material. The powder coating adds a colorful aesthetic. The smooth surface is very stable and durable.
Hot-dip galvanized steel
Hot-dip galvanized steel offers highly effective corrosion protection. Maintenance requirements for steel are relatively low. The prepared steel parts are immersed in a single piece into a molten zinc bath, which encloses the entire component.
Recycling post
Recycled posts represent an environmentally friendly and sustainable option. In close cooperation with our partners, we convert packaging waste into the production of our posts.
Powder-coated steel
Powder coating by our in-house powder coating facility provides additional protection and allows the steel parts to shine in various RAL colors.
spruce
Core-split, pressure-impregnated spruce wood. High-quality wood with a 5-year warranty.
HDPE
HDPE, high-density polyethylene, is a versatile, high-density thermoplastic. It's an ideal material for playground equipment due to its durability, safety, and weather resistance.
Polyethylene PE
Polyethylene is a temperature- and UV-resistant plastic. It is dyed throughout. This ensures that the colors do not wash out, and even scratches on the surface, should they occur over time, are barely visible.
Plastic-coated steel cable
The plastic coating keeps the steel cable soft while offering high stability.
